Tuesday, May 16th, 2023 @ 17:53 BIFD was dispatched to a reported garage fire attached to the structure.
Upon 2581 (Chief)’s arrival he transmitted a 10-75 calling in multiple other mutual aid apparatus in close proximity to the scene of the fire. The fire had extended up the entire side of the structure and was being pulled in through an open window into the house. In addition, the fire had also extended to a car that was parked close to the structure.
E-158’s crew was able to lay in 5” hose from the street for incoming tankers and quickly knock down the main body of the fire. The crew then proceeded to check the interior of the structure for any hot spots or extension. At this time Tanker 9 from Armonk as well as multiple other apparatus were arriving on scene to assist with the incident.
We want to thank all of the mutual aid departments that responded to assist us!
