October 7th, 2023, BIFD members participated in a 5K hosted by the Sayin’ Alive charity.

Their mission is raising money for First Responders of Northern Westchester (to date: 89 grants have been given, over $430,000).

This year, BIFD received a grant from Stayin' Alive for:
- 2 Cold water/ice rescue suit kits
- 2 Reach N' Sling floatation/rescue device
- 2 PrincetonTec Quad Tac MPLD Headlamp's

We appreciate everything they do for us and our neighboring departments!

Stayin’ Alive, Inc. is a 501 (c)3 charity that supports the First Responders of Northern Westchester, New York. They combine funds raised through an annual 5K Fun Run, grants, and donations from individuals to provide equipment to emergency responders that are not covered in their annual budget.
