Good job on the fire on the old golf course. Nothing you could do there but surround and drown - not worth getting anyone hurt. BIFD has had more structure fires in the North Castle district in 2 years than I had in my 13 years!! Al, Good job on the TV - professional and well-spoken. Keep up the good work in Banksville.

Great photos. My Dad's family has a number of names inscribed on the monument in front of the firehouse (including grandma Slusarz). The Zygmonts were also big founding members of the banksville FD. I have great memories of going to the firemens parade and carnival. The Slusarz family lived in the round house.

Thank you for responding to our call on Friday night, September 16. Your crew showed up immediately, and worked professionally and swiftly to handle our problem. MUCH GRATITUDE!!
You have a very nice website, come back healthy from all operations, with comradely greetings from germany. An entry in the guestbook of

I'm the Grand~Daughter of Eagan Zygmont, and as a little girl, remember running around the firehouse. I'm 35 now with little girls of my own, and would love to let them come see a part of their heritage. I haven't been to Banksville since I was 10, but can still see it so clearly.... I send appreciation to all those those who acknowledge my Grand~Dad as a part of the founding Father of this fine establishment.
Thank you for your continued service to the residents of Banksville.
