On Saturday April 5th, Chief Watson joined 108 other firefighters from CT, RI and MA in climbing the stairs 34 stories in full firefighter gear to the top of the City Place building in Hartford, CT. The Chief made the climb in 7:11 placing him as the 3rd fastest overall firefighter and in first place in his age group. Nearly 300 other people participated in the non-firefighter division and the event raised over $100,000 for the American Lung Association's fight against lung disease.
